A Tanzanian school for the creatives of tomorrow
Tanganyika School of Art and Design (TASAD) teaches graphic design and IT skills the way they're practised in real studios — by people who do the work every day.
Why we started TASAD
Across Tanzania, businesses need designers who can deliver print-ready artwork, brands that stand out and websites that work. Young people want those careers — but most training is either theory-heavy or scattered across random online videos.
TASAD was founded within the Giselle Brands family to close that gap. Our mentors come from working studios — Print Expert and Nexa Digital — so what you learn in class is exactly what clients pay for.
We named the school after Tanganyika to honour where we come from, and to remind every student that world-class creative work can be made right here.

How we teach
Learn the thinking
Start with principles — why good design and good code work — before the software.
Practise the craft
Hands-on lessons with the industry tools used in Tanzanian studios and offices.
Build real projects
Weekly briefs modelled on real local clients, reviewed by mentors.
Launch your career
Graduate with a portfolio, a certificate and advice on pricing and finding clients.
What we believe
Practical over theory
Every lesson ends with something you made. Theory serves the work, not the other way round.
Rooted in Tanzania
Local clients, local examples, local market prices — taught in English with Kiswahili support.
Design meets technology
Creative and IT skills under one roof, because modern work needs both.
Our tutors & mentors
